Product Description

Brand new 16MP APS-H mono CCD sensor co-developed by Onsemi and QHYCCD

QHY16200 A is designed with amateur astronomers in mind. The 16MP APS-H sensor is a product of close collaboration between QHYCCD and Onsemi (previously Kodak). This sensor KAF-16200 is 58% larger than an APS-C sensor such as the one in QHY8L and 240% larger than a 4/3 sensor in QHY9S-M.

KAF-16200 pixel size is 6µm x 6µm, slightly larger than QHY9S-M's 5.4µm. The peak quantum efficiency is 59% at 550nm and 48% at hydrogen alpha line. Readout noise is 9-10e- typically.

QHY A series

The A series cameras such as QHY16200A, QHY90A and QHY695A are integrated cameras whereas the A stands for ALL. It combines the camera body with built in filter wheel, on axis guider, USB hub and USB-RS232 converter to provide amateur astronomers a compact and simple user experience. The autoguiding camera could connect directly to the A series USB hub and only one USB cable to the computer is required.

QHY16200A has a built in 5 positions 2-inch filter wheel.
