Description

KAF8300 is one of the most popular CCD sensor among the amateur astrophotographer community as it its the sweet spot between number of pixels, size of pixels, sensitivity, noise performance and price. Following the success of the QHY9 series, QHYCCD redesigns KAF8300 CCD camera with several advanced features serious astrophotographers would appreciate.

QHY90A embeds a motorised 7 positions 36mm filter wheel and a low profile off-axis guider into one camera body. This reduces the thickness of the camera assembly which could mean day and night for telescope system with very stingy back focus allowance.

Moisture is not an issue with the built in optics window heater. The CCD chamber is also airproof and filled with argon gas. An air socket is also available for use with the bundled removable silicon gel tube for drying the air in the CCD chamber.

The built in USB ports and RS232 ports are aerospace grade which are extremely robust. With just a single 12VDC 2.1mm cable and a USB cable, you can power up the whole camera as well as auxiliary equipment such as autoguiding camera, dew heater strap and other accessories. Less cables, less troubles.

QHY A series

The A series cameras such as QHY16200A, QHY90A and QHY695A are integrated cameras whereas the A stands for ALL. It combines the camera body with built in filter wheel, on axis guider, USB hub and USB-RS232 converter to provide amateur astronomers a compact and simple user experience. The autoguiding camera could connect directly to the A series USB hub and only one USB cable to the computer is required.

QHY90A has a built in 7 positions 36mm filter wheel.
