Now you have it, an all in one deep sky cooled CCD camera. QHY814A is based on the QHYCCD's innovative A platform which combines imaging sensor, cooling, filter wheel, off-axis guiding, power and data ports into a single compact integrated system.

QHY814A uses a 9 megapixels Sony ExView II CCD sensor — ICX814 which has a 79% quantum efficiency and very low readout noise — 5 electrons, twice as low as previous generation CCDs. The integrated filter wheel allows you to install 7 unmounted 36mm filters or 8 1.25" filters for an effortless LRGB colour and SHO narrowband imaging in one go. The built in thermoelectric cooler cools the CCD 45ºC below ambient giving you ultra clean background during warm summer nights.

Description

QHY814A uses a 9.2 megapixels Sony ExView II CCD sensor — ICX814 which has a 79% quantum efficiency and very low readout noise — 5 electrons, twice as low as previous generation CCDs. The integrated filter wheel allows you to install 7 unmounted 36mm filters for an effortless LRGB colour and SHO narrowband imaging in one go. The built in thermoelectric cooler cools the CCD 45ºC below ambient giving you ultra clean background during warm summer nights.

QHY814A embeds a motorised 7 positions 36mm or 8 positions 1.25" filter wheel and a low profile off-axis guider into one camera body. Not only such integrated filter wheel allows you to have all your LRGB and SHO filters installed, it also reduces the thickness of the camera assembly. This could mean day and night for telescope system with very stringent back focus allowance.

Moisture is not an issue with the built in optics window heater. The CCD chamber is also airproof and filled with argon gas. An air socket is also available for use with the bundled removable silicon gel tube for drying the air in the CCD chamber.

The built in USB ports and RS232 ports are aerospace grade which are extremely robust. With just a single 12VDC 2.1mm cable and a USB cable, you can power up the whole camera as well as auxiliary equipment such as autoguiding camera, dew heater strap and other accessories. Less cables, less troubles.

QHY A series

The A series cameras such as QHY16200A, QHY90A and QHY695A are integrated cameras whereas the A stands for ALL. It combines the camera body with built in filter wheel, on axis guider, USB hub and USB-RS232 converter to provide amateur astronomers a compact and simple user experience. The autoguiding camera could connect directly to the A series USB hub and only one USB cable to the computer is required.

QHY814A has a built in 7 positions 36mm filter wheel.
